Sixth Form Open Evening
Thank you to all who visited us on this exciting evening. I was very proud to showcase our fabulous Sixth Form students and our exciting new curriculum offer for September 2017. The presentation of the different subject areas across the campus, and what they can offer, highlighted how privileged we are to have such a wide range of dedicated, specialist staff in our Sixth Form. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to make an appointment for a tour of the Sixth Form or to discuss applying for September 2017.

The Leadership Committees sold cakes, organised a tombola and served refreshments to prospective students in aid of Ronald McDonald Charity. They also discussed the extended project and achievements of leadership committee action with parents.
On the 2nd of February, the Sixth Form hosted an open evening. It was a privilege to represent the Sixth form on the night and tell parents about my experience in Sixth Form so far. Potential students were intrigued to know about the range of courses we provide and the different routes that can be chosen by students which include further studies at university, apprenticeships and full time work. Parents were also very interested in the EPQ (extended project qualification) and how it can prepare and equip their child with writing and organisation skills. I enjoyed speaking to people about my EPQ project and what I aim to achieve from it. The Sixth form students received a lot of praise for the effort put in. In the common room we held a tombola, sold cakes and provided tea and coffee; this allowed us to form a vibrant environment, where we spoke to parents about the warm and friendly Sixth form community. We also informed parents of our committees and the work we had done so far for charities such as Katharine House Hospice and the Karcher Accumulator Challenge. Our promotional Sixth Form video was played throughout the evening which we were all very excited to see.
