Please note on Wednesday 25 November there will be an update to a new version of Show my Homework. This will mostly involve a ‘new look’ so all the same features will be available. The aim is that it will be faster, visually easier and more intuitive. This will all happen automatically and it will not affect your use of Show my Homework.
However, the links to the tutorials below for parents and students will give you further detail if you require it:

Show My Homework
We are very excited to announce that this September 2015 will involve the launch of the new ‘Show My Homework’ online tool for teachers, parents and students.

This is an online programme for staff, students and parents to effectively support students in completing good quality homework tasks and develop the independent learning skills that we know are so crucial to future success. We are confident that this service will enable parents to support their child with learning outside of the classroom and further develop that important relationship between home and school.

In anticipation of questions that you may have, please find below a FAQ list that will hopefully clarify some potential queries.

If you would like further details or have further questions, please do contact me via the school office or email:

Please note that your PIN details will be on the printed letter to parents that was sent home.

I look forward to working together to develop the achievement of our students.

Show my Homework FAQ

I don't have a computer at home, how can my child access the new homework system?
Students can access their homework via their smartphone by downloading the app.  We are also currently in the process of developing a Homework Support Programme in the library.  Students will also be required to write their homework in their planner and paper resources will be available for students if needed.

Will homework need to be printed out at home?
There is no requirement for homework to be printed out at home and students can email completed tasks to teachers.  The library is also available for printing.

I have a computer at home, but we don't have fast internet access. Will this harm my child's education?
Students will not be disadvantaged if there are any issues with internet access.  Student planners will still include all homework tasks.  All tasks will be available as paper resources if required.

I don't have a computer but my child can use the internet through his/her console or tablet. Does Show My Homework run on this?
Yes.  Students log in through their browser as they would a PC.

I am concerned that my child will struggle with the demands of homework.  How will they be supported to effectively develop their independent learning skills?
All students will receive a homework timetable to support them with their organisation and time management.  We are also developing a Homework Support Programme in the library and students will take part in regular mentoring sessions to support their learning.
